What 2,000 paths say
Strategy assumption: +0.15% expected return per day at 0.9% daily volatility. Median finish around 40 trading days — the smaller target buys you speed.
# 2,000 paths · deterministic · reproduce via the preset account 10,000 USD paths 2,000 target 8% + 5% floor static gate 4% daily vol 0.9%/day PASS close 93.3% median 40 days PASS intraday 94.4% upper bound · within noise of close WARN stress 74.9% vol ×1.5 PASS funded 91.4% both phases, intraday basis · ~64 days WARN funded×st 63.1% stress hits small accounts hardest
Readings worth taking away:
- Tighter gates, higher pass rate — at this vol. The 4% gate against 0.9% daily swings is still a 4.4σ wall, and the 12% static floor gives more room than the classic 10%. The lower target finishes ~7 days faster than the 100k shape at the same edge.
- The 12% floor is the hidden asset. Most tight-gate shapes pair 4% daily with a 10% max; the extra 2% of floor is what keeps stress-mode survival near 75%. If a firm's current terms trim that floor, re-run before you celebrate.
- Stress flattens the advantage. Under 1.5× vol the funded route lands at ~63% — the same place as the big-account shape. Tight gates protect you from slow bleeding, not from a genuinely wilder market.
The traps to check in this rulebook
- Daily basis (trap #1): at 0.9% vol the basis question is quiet — but small-account traders often run higher vol per trade; check the basis against your number, not the shape's default.
- Floor type (trap #2): verify the 12% is static and measured from start balance; a trailing 12% is a materially harder challenge than a static one.
- Consistency (trap #3): small accounts + early payouts is exactly where per-window consistency caps bite hardest; if one applies, set it in PassLab and re-run.
- Payout gates (trap #4): check the first-payout buffer — on a 10k account a buffer requirement can quietly hold back a meaningful share of your first cycle's profit.
Analysis, not advice. Monte Carlo under the stated assumptions; deterministic seeds mean the preset reproduces these numbers exactly.
